My family was looking to adopt a puppy as a second dog and buddy to our adult Carolina Dog which we adopted through City Dogs of DC. We have also fostered with Wolftrap. The OPH volunteers are simply top shelf people with the best in mind for the dogs being rescued, which IS the focus. The process may seem detailed but it is overall standard for great rescues which try to ensure the dogs are placed in good homes. Dog fighting still goes on and there are still punks adopting dogs to make money off their lives. OPH so impressed us that once our puppy gets a bit older, we're considering becoming volunteers. Thanks OPH for all you do. Hero's all.
