We used Operation Paws for Homes to adopt our wonderful Plott Hound Elvyn. Upon being approved for adoption we went to the Chantilly expo center expecting to meet lots of dogs. At first I was a little disappointed they only had 2 dogs available to meet, however once we got to play with him for a moment it was obvious he was the one. Fully house trained, playful yet obediant and I may have heard him bark 3 times since I adopted him 3 weeks ago. We took him to the vet and he got a clean bill of health, while melting hearts everywhere he goes! My sister also fostered puppies for OPH and my parents dog is from there. It is the only charity we give to as a family because we know the money goes directly to helping dogs and supporting the people that dedicate their time to it.
