This is a wonderful organization whose mission is to "warm the hearts and heads of those experiencing hair loss by knitting/crocheting caps with lots of love." The 4000 caps (handmade with love by 1000 volunteers!!!) are donated and delivered to patients all across the country--free of charge!!!!--to over 500 hospitals and cancer treatment centers. The beanies provide warmth for patients who are undergoing chemo-hair loss--they also provide dignity during a particularly challenging time. Knots of Love, Inc. has over 1000 members who donate their hat-making talents to this wonderful organization. As a member of this group who crochets caps weekly, I know I am providing someone with kindness and support as they deal with the fight of their life! If you are looking for the ultimate worthwhile non-profit organization to give money to--this is definitely the one to donate funds to!
