I absolutely adore Strong Prison Wives & Families, Inc. I originally started out as a member, but over the years have become a volunteer. I love that I can give back a few hours of my free time to such an amazing organization. It allows me to feel a part of something larger, to know that I am doing something for the greater good, and allows me to connect with some fabulous women on a deeper level. Join us!

I found SPWF at probably my lowest point ever in my life. I was scared. I was all-alone in the world and didn't know what to do or where to go. My friends and family couldn’t relate. My life had been turned upside down by my husband’s arrest. The community and support provided by SPWF allowed me to get through the first struggles, where of course I had a thousand questions as I was learning about court and lawyers. However, what happened next was amazing, the community overtook all my problems; the people really truly cared about me and began to help me with my own internal issues, and myself not just the fact that my husband was in jail. I joined their groups, where I learnt about self-care, motivation, health and fitness and oh so much more. This not for profit has gone above and beyond in helping me become the confident woman I am today, and they still help me every day to grow into a more productive resilient woman. Thank you.
