I have used Erowid as a research resource for 20 years. This organization endeavors to document psychoactive substances and activities accurately and comprehensively, gathering information from a range of sources: images, research summaries and abstracts, FAQs, media articles, experience reports, information on chemistry, dosage, effects, law, health, traditional and spiritual use, and drug testing. The goal of Erowid's creators is a world where people treat psychoactives with respect and awareness, working together to collect and share knowledge to allow for informed choices free of propaganda. This, in my opinion, is the best and most important thing about Erowid: it is neither for not against the use of any of these substances, but simply seeks to maintain a database of genuinely useful and accurate information.
