Review for Mystic Jungle Educational Facility, Live Oak, FL, USA
MJEF is a prime example of a truly ethical facility who respects all animal life; they not only preserve the Asian Leopard but have given homes to many misplaced exotics.
The expertise of Vera Chaples is remarkable while the facility educates the public on exotic animals and animal welfare. The animals at MJEF are given the best of care in a professionally run facility.
Ethical Practices: Pet domestic rabbits are never disrespected or fed to big cats as treats nor does MJEF Live Feed pet rabbits or any animal to rehabbing bobcats; instead MJEF follows ethical alternatives in rehab, teaches a proper big cat diet and educates the public on why live feeding is unnecessary to animals in captivity or rehab. Please support ethical facilities!
Review for Big Cat Rescue, Corp., Odessa, FL, USA
The practice of feeding live domestic animals to carnivores is cruel, inhumane and lacks any scientific base and has no education value.
Despite thousands of animal advocates calling for an end to the brutal practices at Big Cat Rescue (a purported Sanctuary) they continue to practice this unethical protocol while displaying it widely over the internet in videos without guilt or feeling.

Real Sanctuaries & Ethical Rehabs do not value one animal’s life over another.
They do not disrespect the Rehab Code of Honor - "Do No Harm".
Real Sanctuaries do not practice outdated barbaric protocols such as unnecessarily LIVE FEEDING tame helpless domestic rabbits (that have no relation to a wild rabbit) to rehab Bobcats
because there are viable ethical alternatives. BCR also promotes the torture and killing of Live domestic rats & turkeys.

Real Sanctuaries do not pretend a need of teaching hunting instincts to wild animals that are
born with hard wired killing instincts that carries within itself, generation after generation. Just like a domestic cat that wreaks havoc on wildlife.
Real Sanctuaries do not feed wild predators tame animals that are not their natural food source in the wild because this practice is detrimental to the cat as far as survival, as the cats
won't find tame sitting targets (disease free) waiting to be eating in the woods.
And, they Most Certainly do not support the cruelty of breeding domestic rabbits that live in squalor while kept their entire short lives in small cages with wire floors for the purpose of taking their lives to unnecessarily feed them to Big Cats as TREATS while putting the heartless act on public display.
A true Animal Sanctuary is a place of refuge where abused, injured, abandoned or captive wild animals may live in peace and dignity for the remainder of their lives.
Please support Ethical facilities that don't torture and kill our pet rabbits or any other living being.
For The Rabbits,
Linda Sue

Review for CHARLESTON ANIMAL SOCIETY, North Charleston, SC, USA
Where are the 70 confiscated rabbits CEO of CAS?
70 confiscated domestic rabbits (helpless prey animals) have been hidden by both Charleston Animal Society & Halifax Humane Society since 1/1/2016 and sent in c/o predator owners & undisclosed "farms" without spay and neuter.
Valid questions of concern remain unanswered. Why would (CAS) a no - kill shelter send 70 confiscated rabbits out of State to a kill shelter (Halifax) who states they have no room for more than 3 rabbits? Upon arrival, Halifax immediately transferred the 70 rabbits to a Wildlife Ctr/predator owner that distributed them to his friends on 3 farms where they remain hidden.
Claiming to be Hero's and possibly sending neglected rabbits from one bad situation to another on farms that may have placed them into another bad situation is not acceptable.
Local rabbit rescue persons working with CAS and Rabbit Rescues to find placement for these rabbits when they were shot down.
The Rabbit Community is asking for full transparency and proof these rabbits are in adoptive family homes As Promised in the media, spayed & neutered,
alive, given proper medical care, not being used as food for predators or humans and not being bred for profit.

Where are the 70 confiscated rabbits CEO of HHS?

Valid questions of concern remain unanswered. Why would a shelter that states they have no room for more than 3 rabbits agree to take in 70 rabbits - then immediately transport the 70 rabbits to undisclosed locations?
