We had a wonderful experience when we adopted our female boxer, Dixie and feel very fortunate to have worked with Southpaw Rescue. The entire process was professionally taken care of prior to us receiving her and we’re so happy we went with such a top notch rescue service.

I volunteered to help ISF almost 2 years ago and have enjoyed the experience tremendously. There are rules and regulations we must follow for legal and personal reasons, which some may find a bit daunting, but once learned and understood it's a very fulfilling experience.
There's been a complete personnel restructuring within the foundation the past few months and it's made a remarkable difference. Questions get answered, people are recognized for their efforts and much more information is getting out. I really believe the foundation has gotten through the initial learning stages and growing pains of a new entity and is on its way to becoming the organization we all expect.
The web site is easier to browse and the Emergency Grant stories of all the animals successfully saved are more than heartwarming. Absolute proof ISF is working hard and living by its mission statement.
I'm excited and very proud to be a small part of ISF and having the opportunity to watch it grow from the inside.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Take another look at the size and structure of the foundation, with all its subdivisions, to insure the best chances of accomplishing the mission goals. There might be too many divisions and people vying for the attention or resources they need to excel. Looking into eliminating divisions until the foundation is on firmer ground or consolidating divisions with the same/similar objectives providing for better accountability of management and financial control.
