Since 1983, Lions Clubs across the USA have been supporting Canine Companions for Independence through Lions Project for Canine Companions for Independence (LPCCI). This officially chartered Lions foundation is a registered 501c 3 nonprofit organization which is run by Lions. Over $3 million has been donated directly to Canine Companions for Independence by LPCCI through many individual and club donations, as well as fund raising events.

LPCCI is truly a great organization with wonderful volunteers. Many of our volunteers are puppy raisers for Canine Companions for Independence, a very rewarding activity. All of us are dedicated to spreading the word about our partnership with Canine Companions for Independence and to recruiting more involvement by Lions everywhere.
