Review for Cibolo Nature Center & Farm, Boerne, TX, USA
The place where everything seems perfect - the Cibolo Nature Center Jacqueline Beretta November, 2009 Rarely do I leave the side of my trusty Dell notebook, which is my life, my precious mode of communication, my voice, my constant companion that helps me create stories for TexasNonprofits. But this morning, I was compelled to bond with nature. Having grown up with access to all the peace and beauty that the Texas hill country has to offer thanks to my father's ranch, I find myself trying to re-create the tranquil beauty I remember in every house I acquire.I tend to plant huge privacy hedges, add gravel driveways, roaring fireplaces, and bird feeders, everything to simulate the wonderful shabby chic feeling of living in the country. But sometimes, my home is not enough, and I must have access to the country, to feel the peacefulness of it all, smell the fresh air, and touch the flowers to be sane. I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
how they have continued to grow and prosper in the last few years.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
be crazy! Carolyn Evans is the perfect organization "runner!"
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their graciousness with their visitors. They are very proud to teach you about the Cibolo Creek and it's environment.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
helpful, informed, well educated on their subject matter, and kind.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Wow - i would like ask them what they would like to do...
Ways to make it better...
I could have spent at least two days there. I was sad to leave the tranquility and peacefulness of the place. It even smelled like fall...
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
helping people understand how precious this resource is. It is a gorgeous Texas asset.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I look forward to visiting again very soon.
