Medical technology has reached the point where the extraordinary is considered commonplace. For that reason most people don't realize that a heart transplant is not a cure. Eventually each recipient will require another transplant. Enduring Hearts is dedicated to funding heart transplant research with a view toward prolonging the time in which a second transplant is required or, ultimately, eliminating the need altogether. I've watched a young, sick child wait in the hospital for a donor heart. I know that through the efforts of Enduring Hearts there's a chance that another transplant won't be necessary.
