As a retired educator,with over thirty years in the classroom,I have taught many children from many different backgrounds. However,I had very little experience with children with autism,but was aware that our programs in the United States were impressive. When my youngest daughter began working with special education, I learned about Global Autism Project, as she chose to volunteer for an overseas adventure. She was so excited about the work they did to improve learning,life skills and the general attitude toward people with special needs. Things are simply not the same in other countries; and the Global Autism Project is helping to make some dramatic changes for some really special people. They believe that all children deserve the chance to learn and I believe they are making this happen.
