Met Ms. Brown last month during a tough period of the month for our family. We have 5 children; 4 boys and 1 girl. For the past several months we have experienced a job loss (my husband) and my older son was a gunshot victim.
So on the day I met Ms. Brown, we chatted quite a bit and she offered the help as she promised. I didn't have to provide her a lengthy amount information like some other agencies require. By the end of our visit not only did we get the food assistance, she offered employment assistance and a kind word. It was nice to be around an organization that allows you keep your dignity as you go through some trials.
