Shepherd's refuge truly is a refuge for those in ministry. Spend hours of quiet time with the Lord in the beautiful blue ridge mountains.

My wife and I are both Clergy and pastor 3 churches. Our week escape to Shepherds Refuge is a blessing. We turn off all access to the outside world and enter into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most beautiful setting to be revived and refreshed.

My wife Susan and I were in need of a escape to seek the Lord's direction in our ministry. I am an Elder in The United Methodist Church. My wife is a Chaplin and a Spiritual Retreat Leader. We needed alone time with our Lord Jesus Christ, seeking his vision in our ministry. Shepherd's Refuge was just what we needed. The peaceful moments reading God's Word and being his God's presence while resting on the porch of the Selah Cabin were reviving. Our walks together along the many paths, stopping to pick apples, renewed our love for each other and for the ministry that God had brought us together to do. Add to this, the new friends we found at Shepherd's Refuge, especially our host, Ruedi and Sandy. I cannot express the gratitude towards Ruedi and Sandy for creating an oasis of love where one can enter into the presence of the One True God; Father, Son, Spirit; and be revived and refreshed, discovering your first love once more, ready to be sent to love and serve others. Shepherd's Refuge is just that place.
