My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for World Bicycle Relief NFP, Chicago, IL, USA
I have worked with World Bicycle Relief for years, but this year I was able to witness their amazing work first hand in Africa. Spending time with the students on their bikes showed me that the bike is not just an essential transportation tool, it's an agent for social change. The bikes elevate education, confidence in young students, provide jobs and really improve lives immediately and efficiently. It's amazing to see how much a bike can change the world.
Review for Phoenix Patriot Foundation, Temecula, CA, USA
I was part of the cycling program this year with Phoenix Patriot Foundation and helped a team of veterans and cyclists achieve their goals at the iconic Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race. I'm a professional cyclists and have won the race 4 times. I dontated my expertise to help the team and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I come from a military background and am a cyclists, so PPF is close to my heart. They are providing real equipment, goals and a way to achieve dreams that some of these veterans never believed would be possible. They were professional, organized and most of all, really caring and dedicated people. The work they are doing is important and I would recommend being invovled with them for veterans or volunteers who believe in their mission.
