The work that PHLBI does is critical in assisting patients and family members that are currently battling Mesothelioma or have been through the fight. Dr. Robert Cameron and his team were instrumental in my father's fight against Meso. The compassion and dedication towards the patients that have been stricken with this disease was just amazing!! Dr. Cameron and his team not only helped my father cope throughout his treatments and surgery but were all there for each of my family members with any answers to questions we had as well as lending an ear or a shoulder when we needed them. We were truly blessed to have been introduced to PHLBI during the toughest time of our lives. From the moment that our family walked through the doors of PHLBI, we were treated like family and they truly cared about our feelings and many questions and concerns that my Dad had. Although my father lost his fight with Meso in 2012 we are still very active in participating and supporting the Pacific Meso Center because of how my Dad and our entire family was treated. 2011-2012 was such a time of devastation in our family but we were comforted and supported by amazing human beings and for that we are truly grateful for Dr. Cameron for his continued dedication towards early detection and a cure for Meso.
