As a Special Education teacher working with students who have cognitive disabilities I always worried about the graduating students having a good quality of life while maintaining dignity and being recognized for their giftedness. My Possibilities offers this opportunity by providing continuing education and participation in the community in a meaningful way. The Creative Arts program has helped to develop the HIPsters artistic, music and acting abilities. The Achieve Program offers instruction to increase vocational, social, independent living, and leadership skills. My Possibilities disproves the myth that people with disabilities "plateau" and cease to learn. These adults are constantly learning and are an inspiration to "typically developing" adults!
