Review for Recreational Music Center, San Diego, CA, USA
I started out with RMC as a camper at their summer camp for kids ages 4-12 about 3 years ago. I decided that I enjoyed playing piano (I had been playing for 8 years) but at the summer camp, my heart was always with playing guitar. I started taking guitar lessons with RMC's amazing staff members for 2 years, until one day at summer camp while I was a CIT, I was offered to be a bassist in a band by 2 other CITs. I decided to take bass lessons shortly afterwards. Thanks to the lessons, advice, and help of the RMC, we went on to play House of Blues San Diego, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, The Del Mar Fair, and numerous other large stages. Even after the break of the band, I am still good friends with the RMC staff, taking lessons weekly, and helping teach at the summer camp. The reason I stay with RMC is because they want to teach kids music through scholarships, lessons, and advice, no matter how much they can afford, because they believe that music is an important and positive force that can change a persons life. Because of the positive environment and help of RMC, They have instilled a love of playing music in my heart. Through RMC, music has opened up new opportunities for me and has changed my life for the better.
