Ragan's HOPE provides an amazingly well-rounded support system for parents and families of young children. Yes they provide meals, groceries, mail encouraging cards, make hospital visits, make home-deliveries of Easter/Back-to-School/Thanksgiving items, offer educational support and lift each other up in prayer...but it goes deep than that. It's people connecting with other people on a personal level. It's people bonding with other people in a unique way. It's people helping other people to grow personally, mentally and spiritually.

I have been involved with Ragan's HOPE for 2 years and it has blessed my life in a wide range of areas. First, it has broaden my perspective on what's important in life and reminds me not let the "insignificant" things worry me or get me stressed. To see the smiles on the faces of the families we serve and those I serve alongside is the best reward. Second, it has given me the opportunity to place in my life some of the most amazing and encouraging people. This includes volunteers and executive members within the organization, the families we serve nationwide and the local businesses and residents that help us make things happen. Their generosity is humbling! Third, it has helped me grow as a person and challenged me in new ways that I wouldn't otherwise have experienced. It has helped me step out of my comfort zone.
At the end of the day, I think the best gift you can give is your personal time. Ragan's HOPE allows me to share this gift as often as I like by with a multitude of ways to volunteer on my own schedule!
