I have been on 2 trips with Curamericas to their project site in Calhuitz, Guatemala. These experiences were life-changing to say the least. What makes Curamericas special is their focus on community-based healthcare solutions. I was amazed at the ways the community was involved in supporting the Casa Materna in whatever ways they could. This created a solution that will last even after Curamericas moves on to another area. The leadership within the Curamericas Global organization is top notch. Each of the trips I participated in were very thoroughly planned and organized. I got an immersive perspective on the work Curamericas was doing, as well as the culture, language, and history of Guatemala. I cannot say enough about the great work Curamericas is doing all around the world.
