Review for Pound Animal Welfare Society Of Montclair Inc., Montclair, NJ, USA
I first found PAWS through Petfinder when I was searching for a pet kitten. I contacted the organization and spoke to someone regarding my interest in the kitten. They kindly asked me to fill out the application and once I sent it in, it was reviewed and approved. The kittens were in a foster home a town over from mine and Kristina from the shelter asked me when I was available to pick them up. It was the day before Thanksgiving but I was SO excited, I asked if I could go see them then - she asked the foster and the foster said yes! I went to her house and it was very clean and spacious - perfect for kittens to run around! She let them out, and I picked out the only male available, his name was Blue. The foster asked Kristina if I was allowed to take the kitten that night and she said yes, he was old enough to go home. So surprisingly, I got to take my kitten home! I kept in contact with Kristina from PAWS for a couple of weeks and they were immensely helpful and made the transition so much easier for my kitten. They gave me so much information about kitten care and the types of litter and food they were already on and how to change them onto different food if needed. Another great thing about my PAWS experience is that my kitten needed veterinary care within the first couple of weeks of having him and they actually paid for the vaccinations and medications needed. It was an amazing beginning to my life with Blue (I kept his name ) and he is a friendly, happy and snuggly cat! Thank you PAWS!!
