I had a heart transplant several years ago.I met the CEO of this organization on the volunteer trail.It seemed every place I went WCFR was there.They were relentless in their service to the people of Rockland County and Haiti.I remember meeting them after the earthquake in Haiti while they were campaigning everywhere to help there and back here in America too.My favorite experience I had with them was taking the Hands-Only CPR Class as the MLK Day of Service in 2015.This past December I was volunteering in the Palisades Center Mall in the food court when a young man passed out.Lots of people were standing around surrounding him and nobody was doing anything.I was able to jump in with confidence clear the crowd,send someone to security office,have someone call 911 and make sure to do my checkpoint on patient.Fortunately I did not have to compress him but I was ready.So I am grateful that I would have been able to save a life.Just an example of the things I have learned from WCFR.PROFESSIONAL INSPIRATIONAL GROUP
