This is my first charity review and frankly the first charity I have felt compelled to support beyond a monetary donation. I will start with Ron Grace, the co founder and driving force behind this charity. I had the pleasure of meeting and spending some days with Ron in 2014. He is a compassionate, intelligent and humble man who recognized a need, and unlike so many before him, chose to do something about it. He will leave the world a better place for his efforts. The funds raised are designated to each "project" and the charities transparency allows anyone participating to monitor progress on a per goal basis. Resources collected go directly toward each goal or project, not to overhead costs. There is direct access to the founders and those who play a more involved role in the organization as volunteers. You see and work along side them at each project. Organizations that raise funds for research are important but the need for organizations that fill immediate needs are sorely lacking for those in our own country. This charity closes the gap and provides resources to those who need it most in an expedited manner. See a need, fulfill the need -- through donations, hands on labor and whatever it takes.
