Review for Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Inc, St. Pauls, NC, USA
I love the BCR, I know in the USA many blind and other special needs pets´re still put down (fortuantely not so in Germany that doesn´t have a single kill shelter and where no pet´s put to sleep unless it´s terminally sick with cancer or so), at the BCR blind, FIV and FeLV positive kitties find a loving home, are well cared for, and even if feline leukemia always wins at the end the FeLV positive kitties have a great time there, together with other kitties in their room!!! People who´re able to can visit the BCR on the open house days and spend a wonderpurr time with the kitties, I wish I could do it too once, but I follow them on FB and Twitter, especially FB brings them close to me.... Oh I´m a Snickaholic, which means I´m addicted to Snickerdoodle, but I also love all the other cute kitties of the BCR!!! Always smiling Maine Coon Snicker aka Snickerdoodle aka Snicker on the pic....
Review for The American Anti-Vivisection Society, Jenkintown, PA, USA
The AAVS´s a great institution, you can NEVER transfer animal testing/vivisection to humans anyway, so many testings´re more than ridiculous, like stress swimming tests for mice - where the mice are tested for depressions - those who give up soon shall be depressive - how sick is this??? - Or cosmetic testings - what knowledge should result from poking make-up etc. into rabbits´ eyes, the AAVS´s offering alternative testing methods and fights vivisection too, modern sience offers tissue engeneering to test on humane cell cultures, which delivers results that can clearly be transfered on living humans!!! 5 star review from me, what else???
Review for Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary Inc, St. Pauls, NC, USA
I was "lead" to the Facebook page of Blind Cat Rescue and Sanctuary by Homer Blind Wondercat almost 2 years ago and liked their page immediately, too. It´s amazing how happy all the blind, FIV or FeLV positive cats are at the BCR, whenever I find the time to watch the ustream, the live broadcast from the BCR, I do it, and if you do this you wouldn´t really think the blind cats are blind at all!!!! Most of the cats came from (high) kill shelters, and different than in other countries like Germany that has no kill shelters at all, all cats with any kind of "handicap" are always on top of the killing lists , so you may say Blind Cat Rescue saved the lives of most of their cats.
And even if one of the cats dies from FeLV, FIP or another disease, or just because he/she´s been old, the BCR even has a cimetary garden where all their urns find a place, so you may really say the cats have a forever loving home and beyond!!!
