Review for Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue Society Ltd, Mount Airy, MD, USA
I recently took a vacation specifically to visit GGDHR. I brought my father. We live on the other side of the country so cannot donate time or adopt …. But we can work hard and save money for those that are less fortunate. This rescue is organized, educated, forward thinking, and shares their knowledge, and rescue with others. They have a plan and are implementing that plan by being good neighbors to the surrounding property owners,, constructing the on-site medical facility and holding numerous educational seminars and fundraising events (that are fun and educational). They are transparent with their use of funds. They are partnering with agencies that employ these majestic horses to ensure they are taken care of and understood.
I highly recommend GGDHR to everyone that wants to donate time, funds, prayers and exposure to their mission.
Review for Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue Society Ltd, Mount Airy, MD, USA
I respect their adherence to their mission statement and adoption protocols despite negative reviews. I respect their sponsorship program and their unwavering desire to stop kill pens and rescue those that have no voice.
They have a plan, they have a mission, they do a great job with both and doing this on a donation basis. When you follow a rescue and learn - it increases the voices for these discarded animals around the world.
Review for Catheys K-9 Rescue, Lake Isabella, CA, USA
Nancy Cathey rescues dogs of all sizes, breed, age and finds them homes. She will always take a dog back if an adopter is responsible and notifies her it is not working out....
Review for Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue, Inc, Tehachapi, CA, USA
As a relatively new Facebook user I am pleasantly amazed at how connected the posts and comments make me feel to the matter being discussed. Marley's Mutts brings us into a part of the animal rescue world with some horrendous cases yet always with an undying optimism that what they, and the Mutt Militia, matters. The spin offs such as Master Splinter, are crucial to keeping the energy going. Animal rescue is a one animal at a time, 24x7 calling. This group is innovative, tireless and loving to these innocent silent furry (most of the time) bodies--they don't view them as victims but as hearts and souls that deserve peace and love.
