Review for Herobox, Inc., Peachtree City, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Herobox is a very special organization. What it has been able to accomplish is truly amazing and at the hand of God. The staff of Herobox is much much smaller than anyone realizes, so anything that we did took a lot of time and energy! Troop support is near and dear to my heart as my husband was deployed to Iraq in 2004 and 2006 for a total of 27 months. The service members expect nothing, but really appreciate being thought of and cared for by the civilians back home. The simplicity of actually recieving a service member of your own is fantastic. Once you decide to commit and sign up, you get that service members name and contact info immediately. So if you do have any specific questions about what to send...you can just ASK! :) The program allows you to be a part of that service members life and bring them into your family. While out in Georgia attending events to spread the word about Herobox, we met quite a few veterans. Most of them said the same thing. They all said how nice it is that we, the people are supporting the troops, and how they wish they had the same treatment in the 60's and 70's. Herobox makes it so easy for anyone to show they care about and appreciate what our American service members are doing. It's just a very cool program and I have a lot of love for it and it's current staff! Keep it up Herobox!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing groups of people come together to pack boxes with items they have gathered over time. The passion and care of some of the organizations was overwhelming!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people I had the opportunity to meet. We attended many commuinty events and talked to people who shared an interedt in troop support. It was very nice to hear how much people want to show their appreciation for our American service members.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

just great! My husband and I were on staff. Ryan Housley became a close friend of the family. Jenny Hall is also a great person with a heart for service.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

ensure that every deployed service member was recieving a monthly care package! How awesome would that be??

Ways to make it better...

i could have stayed!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
