Review for Lost For A Reason, Arvada, CO, USA
From childhood days in boy scouts and rambling the hills of NE Kentucky, I have had a spiritual connection with Native American's. Several years participating and studying the history through Boy Scouts program Order of the Arrow solidified that bond. Fast forward several decades later and I find myself living in the glorious paradise of the great SW. My passion for riding a motorcycle into the still untouched and yet scenic majesty of the desert southwest blossomed into a love affair that Edward Abbey would be jealous. How could one not be emotionally, magically or spiritually connected to such raw and naked splendor inhabited by the fathers & mothers of our nation in this beautiful Native Country? How on earth can we not look at the conditions that our stewards and inhabitants of our mother earth now endure? How can we not want to help our brothers & sisters that live among us, in our country of America?
My connection to Lost For A Reason (LFAR) is a somewhat spiritual and karma guided self discovery. Of all non-profit organizations, LFAR is the only one that I know where greater than 100% proceeds go to the families in need in the 4 corner region, yet also reach to Africa and communities beyond. My meager involvement to date has rewarded me in more ways that could ever apply to a spreadsheet. Ron Grace, JJ Lewis and a large host of others are making significant & real time impacts to families and shelters that need something as simple as a swing set. I am proud to be here, honored to be a part of the team and willing to contribute in any way I can. Will you?
