I am a proud supporter, volunteer and donor of Equality Florida. Key West became one of the first cities and Monroe County one of the first counties to pass comprehensive LGBT legislation through the efforts of Equality Florida. Having seen their good works I have joined their Key West Host committee and each year have increased my donations. I believe they do an outstanding job and results are being seen through the state in local protections, marriage equality and adoption rights. The cause, however is not complete, until we can have housing and employment protection extended throughout the state and anti- bullying policies in every school.
