We are all taught to treat others with respect and dignity, yet it is rare to volunteer for an organization that actually practices what we have been taught on all levels. JCA respects my time, experience, & abilities. I am always asked whether I would like to volunteer for a specific project. My volunteering has never been taken for granted. When making phone calls or answering calls I have the opportunity to watch the staff interact. They treat each other with the respect that we would expect. The staff models JCA's motto "Helping Seniors Thrive" by helping each other thrive. Having former employees volunteer and having long term volunteers demonstrates that that JCA welcomes and nurtures its volunteers.
