Erowid is such an amazing resource to have. I remember when I first discovered it I was completely shocked to find there were such intelligible substance users (not abusers) whom shared all of their experiences and decades of knowledge and research and had it all compiled into one easily accessible webspace. Many, many substance users are completely ignorant and like to claim they know everything about a substance when in fact they know nothing. I once had someone tell me they took a hydrocodone pill with 325 mg of hydrocodone. I laughed, very hard. it was in fact a hydrocodone/acetaminophen combination. 325 mg acetaminophen and I believe 5 mg hydrocodone. 325 mg would have them dead. Anyway I am fortunate along with many other smart users to have this website available, I have learned much valuable information and if I come across a substance I am unsure of, I am able to look it up on erowid and avoid taking an unknown substance that I have no knowledge about. Also it has helped me avoid taking many substances that I would have likely not found enjoyable, it is great to have the experience reports available and to learn from others mistakes, although it seems most of erowid's users are quite intelligent. Erowid also posts contraindications, for example if an experience report talks about someone having driven a vehicle while under the influence, erowid's administrators will not that it is not wise to drive while under the influence of any substance.
