This is more than just an animal shelter! BWAR places many of their rescued animals with foster families until the animal is rescued. This means that the cats and dogs have the opportunity to experience living in a calmer environment. It also means that the counselors are better informed to match companion animals with appropriate families because they have been observed in a family setting! Everyone at the center is very compassionate. You can't go wrong with BWAR

There is nothing more romantic than watching a play in the park. The actors are INCREDIBLE and the outside atmosphere makes for a spectacular experience!

My family and I have adopted from AHS a number of years ago. We were impressed with the level of care and concern our dog was given while there. When they were trying to raise funds for their new building we gratefully donated to help them. In their new facility, they are able to assist many more animals in an incredibly warm and inviting environment. Now their building matches the level of their dedication to animal welfare!
