Review for Shakespeare & Company, Inc., Lenox, MA, USA

Shakespeare & Company is a wonderful practitioner and proponent of drama. It does not limits its productions to the study of the Bard, but provides an eclectic and inspired year-round season, both for the Berkshires and for arts education in Massachusetts. Their productions are always expertly mounted and very creative. (Additionally, this company truly makes the words of Shakespeare accessible to the general audience.) Shakespeare & Company takes on the challenge of mounting more productions than than any other theater company in the Berkshires. Their education outreach and internship programs are a source of knowledge and inspiration for school children, local actors, and interns. Shakespeare & Company is an important contributor to the arts in Lenox and merits support to continue its important and ambitious work.

my appreciation as an audience member. I've seen classical productions, new productions, and readings of new plays. I am always impressed by the efforts of this company to involve and engae the community.

Role:  General Member of the Public & I appreciated as many of Shakespeare's performances as were convenient. I reside in Lenox five months a year, so I believe I see at least twelve productions over the course of the year. I also attended lectures and readings of new plays.
