Lingap has continued to surpass expectations in transforming lives of the most underserved children in Toledo City, Cebu Philippines. Abandoned, neglected, ignored helpless children have been given hope, a safe haven, DIGNITY, physical and medical assistance, education and more importantly LOVE. I have personally witnessed children achieve their human potentiality and evolved into beautiful young adults. One specifically, a young man John Ryan who at the age of 7 entered Lingap. At that time he was unable to read or write however with the support of Lingap he was inspired to discover his human potentiality achieving academically and eventually earning a 100% full scholarship at a prestigious school in another city earning a degree in Nursing graduating cum laude and is now in med school to become a doctor. Now THAT is a life changing story. Thank you Lingap!

As a virtual volunteer, I personally witnessed the personal story of how a Lingap ward John Ryan Bantolinao who entered Lingap at a tender age of 7 yrs old then unable to read or write transform into a very responsible civic minded young adult who was granted a FULL academic scholarship at a prestigious university in Bacolod, Cebu all based on his outstanding scholastic achievements. John has maintained high academic grades and continues to enjoy FULL scholarship funding in his pursuit towards a nursing degree. All through the outstanding support of Lingap children’s foundation.

Lingap Children's Foundation not only provides the basic needs of the abandoned, abused and neglected children, founder John Drake's passion in ensuring the children's well being far extends his personal relationship with EACH and EVERY child and Lingap staff. John Drake knows every single Lingap child by name, by personal history, and by their respective academic achievements because he personally sits down with each child and looks them straight in the eye to let them know the importance of education. Tito John as he is fondly called instills empowerment in every child for them to thrive from survival to potential and self sustainability.
