Called Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation asking for help with my wounded son (100% disabled, retired from the U.S. Army, wounded in action - and 100% permanent and total disability rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs). Sam story as all other so called Veterans Charity Organizations. Was given nothing but reasons why my son could not receive any assistance from them. Just another scam. These con artists trot out a one or two (or a few more) Vets as an example of "how good they are to Vets" without really helping very many of them. Give your money directly to a Vet and stay away from the so called Vet Charity Organizations (Wounded Warrior Family Support is one exception. They are O.K. and help Vets and their families.)
