I am the mother of a 6 year old son with Aspergers and the aunt to my 16 year old nephew with Aspergers. After assessing myself, there's a high possibility I have Aspergers as well. This page has amazing information and has helped tremendously. The main misconception people have about Aspies is the lack of empathy. In my personal experience, I see an excessive amount of empathy. I don't want people to read things and think that people with Aspergers are incapable of caring or emotions because that is completely false.
