I am the mom of a 16 yr old who has Asperger's. This site has been invaluable to me, my son and our entire family. Aspergers101.com is FULL of objective information, advice, and resources to help us on a variety of topics. Too often websites are focused on one aspect of autism vs another - but this site is comprehensive and speaks to all of our needs. Even better, it is constantly being refreshed to offer the latest and greatest information. Thank you for bringing us Aspergers101.com!!
I am an Educational Diagnostician and a behavior specialist. I am also Sam's 'Uncle John'. Seeing Sam progress over the years and learning to overcome and adapt our world to his and visa-versa has and continues to amaze me. I know first hand the problems students have trying to cope in a "normal" school because I have worked with all levels of autism as well as any other designated disability for almost 40 years. Aspergers 101 provides solid information from experts in the field, parents of autistic individuals, and probably the most important source, the individual with autism. If you know a parent, individual, or a teacher who has hands on face to face interaction with individuals with autism, then this is the site you need to share with them to have a positive change in their life.
As a counselor at a school district level, I know how valuable information is when dealing with special needs students. Aspergers101 is a great resource provided for parents, educators and for those on the Autism Spectrum. Insights from the professional and medical community makes this site a stand-out, especially since new information is posted on a regular basis. This is definitely a book-mark site and I reference it often!
Aspergers101 is THE MOST inspirational organization I have known, nationally or internationally! Educational, entertaining, transparent, honest, brilliant, raw, soulful! I can not thank you enough for being here!
Highly recommend Aspergers101.org for anyone seeking more information on understanding autism or aspergers syndrome. By working with this non-profit I've better learned how to relate to potential clients and even understand a character with autism written into a movie script I helped produce! Great site and highly recommended!
Being a part of the Aspergers101 team has been a learning experience! As a filmmaker, I've had the opportunity to work for Aspergers101 on numerous occasions and every time I learn more about Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. Producing interviews and storylines that help others accept and understand those with Autism is a highlight of my career. Aspergers101.org offers more than just videos and blogs, it offers a template toward a successful life living on the spectrum. Proud to be a part!
As a producer I have been honored to have worked with Jennifer and Aspergers101 to get the message out on Autism awareness. There are so many inspirational stories out there and I enjoyed being a part of those stories through Top of the Spectrum News and the Medical Vlogs. I would highly recommend Aspergers101.org to anyone wanting to learn more on Aspergers Syndrome.
Very proud to be a part of Aspergers101.org! In building the website, we made sure that it was informational based so people could navigate the site with ease. So proud to be a part of a strong and positive message that so many need. Aspergers101.org offers so very much on Autism and Aspergers Syndrome.
Need to know information about Autism? Aspergers101 is a great non-profit as they go out to speak to schools, support groups and education centers as well as provide daily new information pertaining to raising a child on the spectrum. Highly Reccommend Aspergers101.org!
With a business in interiors...you always run across clients that have autism within the family. Educating myself on the aspects of autism has been a great learning curve and I've learned so much at aspergers101.org. Great educational website!
Particularly liked these articles on love and acceptance. When we received diagnosis we drove home (where our son was being cared for) wondering whether he would have grown horns or something similar. It is that whole process of expectation, and then acceptance of something quite different. Thank you for this website.
Our office houses the advisory board meetings for Aspergers101 and I've been able to learn more about Autism Awareness and Aspergers Syndrome from it's President, Jennifer Allen. Her oldest son, Sam, has Aspergers Syndrome and by getting to know him as well as her, I feel better equipped to understand any clients or potential customers that have High Functioning Autism. Aspergers101.org offers anyone the knowledge to understand these unique individuals! Bravo!
