Review for Miracle Foundation, Austin, TX, USA
I have recently returned from India as an "ambassador/volunteer" with The Miracle Foundation and miracles is exactly what I saw. Having never been to India before I didn't know what to expect; and I was amazed at the depth of what this non profit does. I saw first hand how money being raised was funneled back into creating pure good. These children were well fed, healthy and being educated. They had clothes, medicine and clean drinking water. They had ambitions for there futures and were getting the necessary tools to hopefully achieve these ambitions. These children are being taught social skills and life skills by real social workers. The Miracle Foundation is providing them with a sense of security and a home that otherwise would not be the case for these unfortunate children we call orphans.
We toured the slums of India after leaving the orphanage; and I came away with amazement at the vast contrast between children in the slums and the children in orphanages. My brief experience in India changed me and my life forever. I went there hoping to help in some small measure. I'm sure I did by playing, painting and decorating rooms, reading to them and giving out as many hugs as I could!!!! But what I got back was beyond my expectations and that was a true miracle. I got to see first hand how these children were thriving under circumstances beyond their control; and I felt satisfied when I left that they were well taken care of.
There are not enough stars in the world to be given to this non-profit. They are pure love...providing children with basic human rights and creating families where otherwise none would exist! I am counting the days until I can return with The Miracle Foundation to create more miracles for these deserving children.
