Review for Bascomb Memorial Broadcasting Foundation, Inc., Miami, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The best of all possible worlds; great jazz, great reggae, great brazilian music and so much more. Did I say great jazz? The greatest! I gladly volunteer for any and all events where I can be of use to this wonderful musical resource. Also the news from the BBC! They fill a true need in my community where the sirwaves are cluttered with banal overplayed "hits".

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My love of jazz music and music in all its' many forms has been enriched by listening to WDNA. The DJ's are not paid drones, they love the music, they study the music, they care about the lives of the artists, they are true connoiseurs of jazz.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Learning more and more about the music, be it jazz by americans, cubans, europeans, latins in general, brazilians and so many more. The reggae show is quite possibly the best and longest running in South Florida.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated to the music and to the station. Professionals in their fields who loved music and were willing to work for less pay in order to do what they loved. The volunteers I met have all worked for the love of the music.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Broadcast throughout more of South Florida instead of their present limited range. I often sit in my car listening rather than enter my home and lose the signal. I have found myself going out of my way when listening to a great set.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
