Review for Sarasota Contemporary Dance Inc, Sarasota, FL, USA
As a person with a background in dance and recognizing a need for a professional contemporary dance company in the Sarasota area, I consented to become a founding board member of Fuzion Dance Artists a little over 4 years ago. With each successive performance of an amazing new piece, I came to the realization that this was not just another addition to the local arts scene but one with outstandingly creative artistic directors. As a testimony to this, Artistic Director Leymis Bolanos Wilmott was recognized in the the November 2009 issue of SARASOTA MAGAZINE as one of 8 "fire powers" and "bright young lights and visionaries." In addition to performaning, the company has always contributed to the schools and the community through their outreach programs.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
pay the dancers a living wage with health and retirement benefits, hire a staff, open a school and provide scholarships for talented dancers, and build a permanent home for performing and education.
