My family and I volunteered here with the Baltimore Frassati fellowship at their annual "Freedom BBQ" fundraiser. It was a very fun and meaningful experience. I was very impressed by the staff and residents and the event as a whole. I hope to volunteer here more in the future.

In college I worked on raising awareness about eating disorders. I raised money to bring this group to my campus and they did student workshops and a performance for the public. They are delightful to work with and beyond that--truly inspiring artists and visionaries.

I volunteer here by helping prepare and serve meals each month. It's a great facility with excellent professional staff who are making a huge difference for the families they serve. Up to 40 residents are in the shelter at any given time while they also serve those who have transitioned out of the shelter, providing subsidized housing and other necessary support to help the families stay on their feet. It's a great organization and is the main reason why I became a member at Christ Lutheran Church (the church where the shelter is located.)

Our Town Theatre is a little piece of heaven. I grew up in Garrett County and was privileged to be a part of the productions and events hosted by the theatre. These community-building experiences have shaped my world view, helped me develop poise and confidence with public speaking and make many incredible pleasant memories in the process. This is a truly unique center where diverse people gather to share time and talent. Every dollar donated and ever moment spent volunteering there is well invested!!!

My family is a host family for Safe Families for Children in Maryland. We have been very impressed by the responsive, professional and compassionate management. They help families who are in crisis by matching kids with families that have been screened and trained to host them while the parents get back on their feet. They offer excellent case management/case coaching support and really help both families achieve a higher level of functioning. I cannot speak more highly of this organization. We are blessed to be a part of it and recommend it to anyone interested in helping families in need.

I really appreciate MomsRising's engagement and leadership on issues that are important to me as a mom and as an American. They use best practices for online-based outreach and advocacy. I appreciate that their appeals are well cited and clearly explained. They make it very easy for me to take action on matters I care deeply about. They also follow-up with you (unlike many other similar advocacy organizations) to report on the impact the appeal had. I've been very impressed in the results generated by MomsRising since I joined a few years ago and am honored to be a part of the great, diverse community they have built.
