This is a very special way to honor parents and thank them for the many years of caring and raising us not only through the years as children, but also throughout adulthood. Dad married my very young widowed Mom many years ago and adopted my brother and I when we were very young. He has always been my true Father. Both of my parents made growing up a special memory for all of us kids. Everything was done for family and they are both my true hero's and have greatly influenced how I raised my own son. Mom was a stay at home Mom, and made every holiday very special, especially Christmas. After Dad sadly passed away 4 years ago, I moved Mom in to live with us for care as she has Alzheimer's. She is now in a care home on hospice in the final stages of the disease. Even though I lost my "true" Mom many years ago, I continue on this journey with her and fill every visit with joy. After all, that is what she taught us "kids" growing up. Thanks Mom and Dad!
