What a joy to be able to experience the health benefits of yoga in a class focused on those of us with aging bodies. Instructors emphasize gentle stretching and movement in the postures and offer alternatives to individuals as needed, especially those who need to use a chair for the class. Much attention is also given to improving balance and strength. I look forward to the class every week, and it is FREE to participants. Donations of any size are welcome, but optional.

This fantastic organization was the brainchild of one woman, Nancy Weare, who brought together a group of citizens interested in providing support and services to underserved seniors and persons with special needs in our small city, enabling them to remain a vital part of the community and helping them to continue living safely and independently in their own homes. Now, many years later, first as a Founding Board Member, then a Volunteer, and now also a Client Served, I see DMCC continuing to grow and change in service of it's clients' needs and desires for community involvement.

I love being a member of Villa Musica's Community Chorus. Fiona Chatwin, Executive Director of Villa Musica who also leads the Chorus, has provided a welcoming and caring community for all who wish to share in the joy of learning and performing wonderful music. I hope to be a member for many years to come.
