American SPCC offers a wide variety of educational and advocacy opportunities for parents/caretakers and youth. Youth can identify issues important to them in high school and college clubs, and earn service credit from American SPCC for attempting to make improvements in their community.

Parents and caretakers are able to access a wide variety of topics for guidance. For example, new parents can learn tips on how to remain cool while learning and utilizing strategies to calm a crying infant, and helplines are given a when a caregiver feels overwhelmed. In addition, children, teens and caregivers can learn strategies to deal with bullying at school and in their community, and learn how identify, reach out and obtain help if they feel depressed or suicidal.

American SPCC has a pro-active approach to dealing with the challenges that children, youth, parents and caregivers commonly face. Its' solution-focused, hands-on strategies are empowering and effective.
