I am so impressed with this organization and its mission. Parents need as much support as they can and it's important for moms and dads to hear the science behind being more peaceful and positive parents. As a Board member, I see the inner workings and the organization is well-run, responsible, and managed. All the energy is going toward helping moms and dads, and not on building fancy unneeded infrastructure.

I've been volunteering and working with American SPCC for the last 5 years. Within 5 years, American SPCC has served over 5 million families providing science-backed, compassionate content to serve families and care givers navigating parenting and ACEs. On a personal note, I've learned so much about my own ACEs on how to best navigate and heal through trauma as an adult working in the nonprofit sector. Also, American SPCC is the only organization that is a one stop shop for caregivers and brings together dozens of parenting experts to support families.

As a father, I always wanted to be the best I could be for my kids, but sometimes I felt lost or unsure of where to start. The American SPCC has provided me with the tools, support, and knowledge I needed to become a more engaged and confident dad.

This organization genuinely cares about - and invests in - the well-being of families worldwide. The number of free resources is outstanding, and the quality is unsurpassed compared to everything else I've seen (and I work with many companies globally).

Recently, I sent a message to this organization on the notion that I wanted to help volunteer with the communications side of things. It didn't take long for me to receive a message back from their Executive Director Genevieve Rivera, who welcomed me with open arms, outlined ways I could help with their marketing efforts and was excited about the fact that I was willing to help. She didn't just give me work to do, but she actively communicates with me on how the organization is operating and always demonstrates a willingness to utilize my ideas in their efforts.

The ASPCC has been a longtime favorite non-profit of mine for their online nature. They always have the most up to date techniques and tips on raising children on a broad range of topics and a panel of experts behind them.

The reason I love this charity is because they are very forward thinking in their approach to getting information out there. They actually provide on their website, pre-made memes, and all the instructions on how you would share them on your own social media. They have a wealth of resources and information that has been collected and put in one location for easy access for anyone who needs help. Lastly they are focused on finding solutions from the youth of today. This is highly effective for 2 reasons: young people know best how to communicate to their peers and have new fresh ideas and also they are going to be the next generation of parents, so raising their awareness of the issue of Child Abuse is taking a pro active and hopefully preventative stance.

I have been following and donating to this non-profit organization for many years now and I am continually amazed with the results. This organization's message needs to be heard and spread to as wide a population as possible.

American SPCC works tirelessly to prevent cruelty and abuse to children by educating and informing the public of this growing epidemic. Thankfully, American SPCC lends a voice for those who are too young to speak out against these horrendous acts.

American SPCC continues to be on the forefront of providing valuable resources for all of us to utilize. Abuse in our country is staggering, especially abuse of children, it is everywhere. The information ASPCC provides helps us recognize possible abuse, helps us decide what to do and assists those suffering from abuse. This is a difficult and often complex subject. This non profit is taking a two-pronged approach to the issue of Child Abuse. First it aims to educate us on what Child Abuse encompasses: it may not look like what you think it does, and may be happening without you recognizing the signs. Second, they are focusing on the positive care of children. What would help parents, foster parents, care workers, etc alleviate the problem, what are solutions, how do we all help.
By harnessing the youth of today to help spread the word, they are making the next generation of parents aware of child abuse and neglect, what can cause it, what good parenting actually is, BEFORE they have children of their own.

American SPCC has an amazing website with tons of resources. It's helpful for students, teachers, counselors, and anyone working to improve the lives of children. Thank you, American SPCC for providing us with all of this great information in one place!

I am a policy specialist and have served as a consultant for American SPCC for the last several months. I can report that American SPCC offers numerous avenues for those interested in the welfare of children, adolescents, and older youth to at once get involved and be part of the solution. American SPCC prioritizes the perspectives of young people, and I particularly appreciate the student advocacy model and toolkit that this nonprofit provides for students to assist them with identifying and advocating on behalf of the child welfare issues that matter most to them. American SPCC has both a national vision and a very hands-on ground effort working closely to assist and support child welfare advocates in the Portland, Oregon, community. This is a small nonprofit that has tremendous potential for growth.

American SPCC offers a wide variety of educational and advocacy opportunities for parents/caretakers and youth. Youth can identify issues important to them in high school and college clubs, and earn service credit from American SPCC for attempting to make improvements in their community.

Parents and caretakers are able to access a wide variety of topics for guidance. For example, new parents can learn tips on how to remain cool while learning and utilizing strategies to calm a crying infant, and helplines are given a when a caregiver feels overwhelmed. In addition, children, teens and caregivers can learn strategies to deal with bullying at school and in their community, and learn how identify, reach out and obtain help if they feel depressed or suicidal.

American SPCC has a pro-active approach to dealing with the challenges that children, youth, parents and caregivers commonly face. Its' solution-focused, hands-on strategies are empowering and effective.

American SPCC offers holistic approaches to addressing child abuse, neglect and exploitation, which cause so many of our social and economic problems. The organization's focus on solutions--positive parenting, anti-bullying, and advocacy--both in the community and through social media networks is unique. So is their model of supporting students and youth in working to solve problems in their communities through high school, college, and community clubs while earning service credit hours and other awards.

I have worked on children's rights in many arenas but have finally found a forum that allows children and youth to find a way to envision and create a more positive future for themselves and the next generation. Please join me in supporting their work!
