I have had the privilege of being involved with Lighthouse for the last 15+ years. In the beginning, our church would serve LCM with food drives a few times a year. As I got closer to LCM, I began to see how the mission to serve their neighbors in need was motivated by a love for God and a love for people.
I think their name perfectly exemplifies who they are--a light pointing those who are tossed about by the struggles of life to the very solid foundation of Jesus Christ. The staff and volunteers treat every person with value, respect and love. I love LCM's commitment to their community--to meet the immediate needs of food, shelter, clothing as well as to encourage those who can to develop through the GED and scholarship programs. Many non-profits begin to slip away from their original mission but LCM has stayed true and focused and effective!! I am so glad to be able to witness first hand their impact in our area!
