Caring and Responsible are two important qualities for a successful rescue, AAE has these qualities and more. They work hard and creatively to secure donations & funding so that they can continue to rescue into the future. They train their volunteers to be safe and respectful for the rescued equines and fellow volunteers. They also have a thorough screening process for adoption with a remarkable success rate. I highly recommend AAE as a place to volunteer, adopt, and sponsor.

These volunteers are absolutely wonderful. They are patient and loving and have that magic element that takes an abandoned and neglected horse to a healthy and happy horse.

Wonderful equine rescue. They are very professional and caring of their volunteers and horses.

I have volunteered at other animal rescues in the past but I have not found any that are as professionally managed as AAE. They, of course, love every horse that breathes but what I appreciate most is that they also care about the people involved in the care of their horses and the people who foster, adopt, and visit their horses. AAE is very well organized, emphasizes safety for horse and human, and is very active in the community for both fund raising and education. I am proud to be a volunteer at AAE for all that they do for horse and humankind.
