This organization has been earning money and delivering hope, dignity, and aid to our local community for decades. They have an amazingly high return rate on the funds they raise, as they are all volunteers. They have helped thousands of needy school children and those suffering from violence and homelessness. It's not often fully understood how big those needs are here, but the Assistance League listens and responds. They are a wonderful contributor to our community.

In May we shopped for back packs and then stuffed them full with a plethora of useful items (sunglasses and cases, water bottle, deodorant, ear plugs, wet wipes, hand lotion, lip balm, sun screen, energy bars, battery operated fans, and more). We took them to the shelter and set them up on each lady's bed so they would see them when the facility reopened for the evening. They were delighted with these gifts just in time for summer weather. These women have experienced homelessness and are working their way back to a stable life. We at Assistance League are very happy to be able to support them in their efforts.

I've been involved with a variety of charities for over 30 years. Assistance League of the Eastside has proven to be the most rewarding I've ever associated with. These generous and hard working women team up together to accomplish big things in our local community. From providing Assault Survivor Kits to survivors at the hospital when they are vulnerable and in the greatest need, to giving kids the opportunity to choose new clothes for the school year so they can feel warm, confident and ready to learn when their parents can't provide, to supplying welcome baskets of basic necessities when women experiencing homelessness enter a shelter, this group is making a big difference in people's lives.

I love volunteering with this amazing group of women. They are focused, organized, and productive. We are helping people in need right here in our own community and having fun and learning much as we do it.

If you are looking for a great place to donate your time or money, take a serious look at this org. I've participated in many and they are truly a cut above.
