Review for Community Cat Coalition, Mukilteo, WA, USA
I think the CCC puts their actions behind their words. Every member I've worked with truly cares and will go the extra mile to help the cats AND the people. While the CCC is primarily a teaching organization, with the goal of teaching people how to do TNR (trap, neuter, return), we as an organization joined together to help in 2 large sites this year - one with a man who had 60 cats, another with a man who had 42! In both instances, members helped to get all 102 cats spayed, neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites - and then did follow ups throughout the year to make sure there were no new cats, or cats left unaltered. This is all volunteer work, helping the cats and helping the community. I've never belonged to such a dedicated organization before - it is great.
Review for Pasado's Safe Haven, Sultan, WA, USA
When I reached out for help with a hoarding situation involving a cats a dog three rabbits and over 300 chickens, I received tremendous help from Kim, their cruelty investigator. Anytime I have dealt with this organization I have been treated courteously and with compassion. In a previous year while working to assist with barn cat placements, Stephanie made herself available at every stage and listened to/followed up on every suggestion I made - her dedication and the obvious caring about the individual lives of every animal in the sanctuary made the whole process a delight. In every communication I have had with Jenny, I have received a prompt response and assistance in finding the answers to my questions. I appreciate the "genuineness" of everyone I have met in this organization, they truly care about the animals.
Review for Mercer Island Eastside Orphans & Waifs (aka MEOW Cat Rescue), Kirkland, WA, USA
MEOW is an extremely high-quality, compassionate and efficient organization. I believe they are unique in the cat rescue world as they continue to focus on the individual cats that come to them rather than treating those cats like "merchandise". They are well respected in the world of Rescue and deservedly so; MEOW promotes a positive, respectful and caring attitude towards all living beings. They are a good role model for all.
Review for Feral Cat Spay-Neuter Project, Lynnwood, WA, USA
The Pacific Northwest is the envy of cat rescue groups all over the country because of the work of the FCSNP! Cat rescuers who spend their free time and money to trap, neuter and return free roaming cats to their colony sites have often received little help from many organizations, but the FCNSP provides free spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations to all ear tipped cats. This is a tremendous help for the rescuers and a life-saving effort for the cats. I can't say enough good things about this organization, it is truly unique and very much appreciated.
Review for Community Cat Coalition, Mukilteo, WA, USA
I have been involved with the Community Cat Coalition since its inception, and I have been very pleased to see this organization stay true to its mission - helping the community, both cats and people. The focus on compassionate solutions is a primary consideration, using real life experiences and mentorship as educational tools. I think the fact that this is an all volunteer organization with a focus on positive and respectful interactions has made it a success.
Thank you for all that you do to make the CCC what it is today and going forward! Chris
Review for Community Cat Coalition, Mukilteo, WA, USA
I've been involved with the CCC since it's inception nearly 4 years ago - it is an all volunteer organization working to help the community cats, and to help the people of the community understand how THEY can each help. The focus in on helping everyone understand each of us is that "someone" everyone goes looking for when there is a problem, so when a person says "I'm looking for someone" we can say "YOU are someone!" :) When each of us accepts the responsibility for the "problems" in our own back yard, we can make a true difference - together. I think the CCC is unique in this way, instead of being an organization where people simply dump their problems, we work to educate and mentor people through their own solutions.
Review for Mercer Island Eastside Orphans & Waifs (aka MEOW Cat Rescue), Kirkland, WA, USA
I have worked in the rescue world as an independent rescuer for over 10 years, and in all that time I've never heard a bad word about MEOW. This organization has stayed true to their mission, and genuinely care about each and every individual cat. 3 years ago I was part of a group that formed the Community Cat Coalition, a group dedicated to promoting spay/neuter and assistance for the community cats, as well as help for the people who care for these cats. MEOW joined us from day one, and has been very supportive. I simply appreciate they put their money where their mouth is - they truly care, and truly reach out to help whenever possible. - Nancy Wahl
