When I was a school counselor it was such a gratifying experience to work with local families who were invited to attend the Operation School Bell back-to-school shopping events! Now that I am retired, it is my turn to give back to the community and I am continually impressed by the caring attitudes and professionalism expressed by my fellow members. The smiles (and the tears) of our families in need have made all the fundraising and behind-the-scenes activities worthwhile.
