The first two and a half years I was at Shield Bearer I was a volunteer. I volunteered my services as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Intern (LPC, I). It was such a rewarding experience. Now that I am an LPC, I chose to continue seeing clients because it is a truly wonderful establishment because all the therapists, volunteers, and staff have a gift when it comes to helping clients. There is a peace when I walk into the office, and I know that everyone is caring and family.
