Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
OPH has provided our family with 2 wonderful dogs. Our first adoption was last August, and our second adoption was this Valentine's day. OPH is the most responsive and reasonable rescue I found (and believe me, I looked!). Thank you OPH!
Review for Operation Paws for Homes, N.Chesterfield, VA, USA
My husband and I have four children ranging from 12 to 4 years old. We have rented for the past three years and have heard repeatedly how our children wanted a dog. After we found our own home, I began searching sites for dogs. I was overwhelmed with the number of beautiful dogs that were homeless. I reached out to local SPCAs and a number of nonprofit adoption agencies about dogs who could possibly be a fit. I was clear that we had young children and a cat whom the dog must be able to be trusted around. I was contacted by Operation Paws who had me fill out the application form and listened to me as I shared our family story and my concerns over adding a dog to our household. The staff at Operation Paws for Homes contacted their fosters directly to find a dog that would best fit our family. We have had him for a month now, and our neighbors are shocked when they learn he is so new to our home. He is a perfect fit. He has dog friends in the neighborhood who he plays with, he comes to the beach and our friends houses with us, and he is extremely gentle with our children. We are so happy to have him as a member of our family.
